Puts faith into action! Each Opening, along with a Board Activity, Litany, Object Lesson and Songs with well-known tunes that teach the lesson, hosts a visit from a different prophet to introduce the Bible passage for the day. The prophets are a little strange to hold everyone’s attention.
Each day, family groups move from Tent Time Instructions, to the Opening, then to Craft Shop 1, to Tent Time for activities that teach the lesson and a snack, to Craft Shop 2, and then they return to their tents for clean up and departure. Craft Shop leaders are dressed in clothing that takes everyone back to Bible times as their crafts teach Bible lessons that strengthen faith and inspire action.

Closing Day Outreach
The last or closing day of this VBS is designed to say "thank you" and share VBS with your host congregation. It also provides opportunity for outreach to your community. Time is set aside for practice of songs and perhaps a skit to present to your congregation during regular Worship. You may choose to invite parents and congregation to a special VBS program scheduling it the evening of Closing Day, immediately following Closing Worship before Party and Snacks or in place of community outreach. If you decide to do community outreach: plan a trip to nursing home (s), shut-ins, a hospital or soup kitchen, etc to sing songs learned during VBS.
